About VMOU
Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University, popularly known as VMOU, is an open university in Kota, Rajasthan. Previously known as Kota Open University, this university was established in 1987 to provide open learning education opportunities in Rajasthan. VMOU Kota is recognised by the Distance Education Bureau-University Grants Commission (DEB-UGC) and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
VMOU courses include popular UG, PG, diploma, PG diploma, certificate, and research open learning courses in the fields of arts, sciences, education, management, and many others. Some of these popular courses are BA, BCA, BJ, B.Sc, MBA, MJ, M.Lib.I.Sc, M.Sc, MSW, and many others. The university also offers all these courses under its seven regional centres across the state. There are 108 study centres under these regional centres.
The VMOU campus is spread over 75 acres of land with a total built-up area of 53,033 square metres. The campus has a well-stocked central library to support all kinds of academic and research activities on the campus. The central library is connected with several e-resources such as SOUL 2.0, Project MUSE, Wiley-Blackwell Journals, Taylor & Francis, Springer, and J-Gate. The university conducts separate VMOU admission rounds for first-year/ fresh admissions and promotee/ second-year/ third-year/ lateral entry admissions. Students who want to join the UG programmes at the university can get admission based on their merit for most of the programmes. VMOU Application Process
The university has digitised the entire VMOU application process for the sake of the applicants’ convenience. So, if you are wondering how to apply to the university, here is a step-by-step guideline for you.
Step 1: Visit the official website of VMOU Kota (https://www.vmou.ac.in/) and navigate to the ‘Student Corner’ tab on the top of the home page.
Step 2: Go to the ‘First Year/ Fresh Admission’ and click on ‘Apply Now’.
Step 3: Fill out the VMOU application form with all the required information and click on ‘Save & Next’ for the next steps.

VMOU Cut Off
The university does not release cutoffs in the form of VMOU cut off 2023 lists. Rather, it publishes the course-specific VMOU Kota merit lists to provide admission to deserving students. Valid scores in several state and national-level entrance exams are accepted by VMOU. The university also conducts entrance exams for a few courses. such as MBA, B.Ed, MCA, and PhD. VMOU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2023 Application Process
Step 1: VMOU B.Ed Entrance 2023 Registration
Students need to go to the official website of VMOU, go to ‘First Year/Fresh Admission’, and click on ‘Apply Now’ to register on the online application portal.
Step 2: Filling out the Required Details
Candidates are then required to fill out the VOMU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2023 application with all the required details and click the ‘Submit’ button.
